Y Llaethdy, ‘The Dairy’ in English, is where the cows were milked when Pencefn was a working farm, as recent as 1995, and has now been converted into a cosy little cottage.
Llaethdy is a snug little cottage and is big on charm.
The main living area consists of an open plan dining, lounge and galley kitchen area with pretty furnishings in country colours. It has a real country feel and a socialable atmosphere where our guests can spend quality time together.
It has a family bedroom containing a double bed with a single bed situated through a curtained archway off the main bedroom.
There is a modern bathroom with ‘P’ shaped bath and power shower. Hot water is supplied by biomass boiler, ensuring a plentiful supply.
Y Llaethdy is double glazed and has central heating powered by biomass which makes for a warm, comfortable cottage any time of year.
This cottage which is all on one level and is often habited by grandparents who are holidaying with the family staying in Ty Gwennol or Ty Hen, but like their own space!
It can also be a romantic hideaway for couples or just right for a small family’s holiday.
To the rear of the cottage is a delightful little courtyard type garden, gated and fenced and is a real all day sun-trap, perfect for summer evening barbecues. To the front is a small patio with wonderful views of Foel Pen Cefn and the lovely Pen Cefn gardens.
