Pen Cefn holiday cottages access statement

Pencefn Cottages are situated approximately half a mile through the village of Sarnau, three miles east of Bala on the A494. Traveling west towards Bala, the turning for Sarnau is signposted and is on the right. Turn into the village, and bear right up the hill out of the village. Pencefn is the third entrance on the left. The road veers left, off the hill and across a cattle grid (a kissing gate is available for walkers) and a neat and level track of approximately 200 yards leads to the cottages. There is ample room for at least two cars per property and the access and parking areas are loose chippings. Each of the four cottages has a flagstone or brick path leading to its front door. Each cottage has its own small garden with paved patio area and wooden seating. All the gardens are fenced and gated for the safety of small children and pets.

A communal garden area, also fenced and gated, has two large ponds, lawns and seating, chippings on walking areas and stepping -stones around one of the ponds.

We do not recommend Pencefn Cottage Holidays to guests without their own transport but those guests wishing to visit by means of public transport (which is extremely limited) should take a bus to Bala then a taxi from Bala to Sarnau. There is no railway link to Bala.

Most mobile phone networks are available at Pencefn.  Vodaphone, O2, and EE all work either in the cottage or in the vicinity.
